It's been awhile...

We are all still adjusting to mom being back at workand hoping a new job will come soon that I don't have to work nights. Dad enjoys some one on one time with the little guy though. I think that we are working on getting a tooth on the bottom. We chew on our fingers lots and there is always drool coming out of his mouth. BUT, he is always happy. He has started giggling, it is the best sound in the world. I am hoping to get video recorded and get it posted for all to hear.Enjoying my exersaucer, with drool all over my face. Hope that tooth gets here soon.

This last few weeks has been quite busy. We went to the Vlasin family reunion in Nebraska City to see all of the relatives. It was a long day but Kael was so good-even with minimal sleep. Also this last week mom went back to work. It was very difficult to leave the little man behind, but we all made it through. Kael has developed a love for standing. He doesn't like to sit or lay flat, he prefers to stand up and look around the world. Each day he coos and chatters more. He is sharing his smile more every day and is recognizing people. He is busy growing...I can't believe that we are coming up on 3 months already. Time flies, I am not real sure what I did with my time before he was born.Sporting my shades. Too cute.

Many firsts-growing up so fast.

Kael is growing by leaps and bounds. At his 2 month check-up he weighed 11lbs 7oz and was 23in long. He got 5 shots and was a trooper. He was done crying before the nurse had the band-aides on his legs. They didn't really seem to bother him. He started sleeping in his crib and is doing great with it. I think it was harder on mom than him. This past week he has rolled over a couple of times. Although he won't show off his tricks except to mom and dad. He has also started sleeping through the night-we have done 2 in a row so far. What a blessing. Kael is very "talkative" and smiles often now. It is hard to believe that he is 2 1/2 months already. He isn't listening when I tell him he needs to stay mommy's little boy.Kael likes to be a naked baby

1 Month!

Can't hardly believe that Kael is over a month old now. He is growing and changing everyday. He loves his swing. Sometimes it is the only thing that will calm him down. His face is getting quite chubby and so is his belly. He has started to coo and we can occasionally get a smile out of him (usually when he first wakes up or has just finished eating.) He is such a good baby. He is sleeping about 4 hours at a time sometimes longer if he is in his swing. He goes almost everywhere with mom without too much of a fight. Can't wait to see what the next month will bring.

Kael had his first trip away from home this past weekend. It was a busy weekend but he was such a good boy. He slept almost the whole way to Kearney and back. He slept through his baptism and most of "Auntie" Kristin's bridal shower. He is a great traveler-so far.
